We are pleased to announce the appointment of Marcie Flom as Executive Director of the Arnold and Anita Silber Family Foundation. Marcie brings over 30 years of leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector, during which time she has built trusted relationships both with funders and beneficiary organizations. Her appointment is the keystone in our Board of Trustees’ plan to take our Foundation and philanthropic impact to the next level.
Marcie began her career working for high-profile performing arts organizations, and for the past 21 years, she served as Executive Director of the Jewish Community Foundation. During her tenure,e she worked closely with community members and volunteer leaders to grow the Foundation’s assets and facilitate strategic grant making.
The key priorities of our Foundation are to support the needs of people, projects, and programs primarily in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia and in Israel, which aligns with Marcie’s extensive experience. Her impressive track record of impactful grant-making and working with families on major philanthropic initiatives will be invaluable as we focus on growing the impact of our Foundation to ensure a legacy of community support both now and in the future.
Upon joining our Foundation, Marcie had this to share: “I am proud to be assisting the Silber family in achieving their philanthropic goals, which will have a lasting impact both on individuals and communities–and that is the ultimate reward in this work. I am looking forward to seeing the positive change we can inspire together.”
Please join us in welcoming Marcie in her new role.
